Meeting dates

Next meeting Thursday 14 May 2026 at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall

The evening will start with the Annual Assembly of the electors in the parish, and continue with the Annual Parish Council meeting immediately afterwards. The agendas for both meetings can be found on the Parish Council agenda page from the Parish Council tab above, usually from the Saturday before the meeting.

Time is allocated at every meeting for members of the public to raise queries and address the council, and the council is always glad to welcome residents and other members of the public or press. The council may not be able to answer all questions in the meeting, but councillors and clerk are willing to help if they can.

The Annual Assembly is a meeting of residents, rather than councillors, and is a chance for people to raise any issue with the parish council. It is convened and chaired by the chairman of the parish council and councillors are in attendance.

Future meetings

The council will meet monthly at 7.30pm in the Village Hall on the second Thursday of every month except August and December, so for 2026 the dates are:

Thursday 14th May (this will be the Annual Parish Council meeting and also the Annual Assembly)

Thursday 11th June

Thursday 9th July

Thursday 10th September

Thursday 8th October

These dates do occasionally have to be changed, but an agenda giving notice of each meeting date and the business to be discussed and decided is placed on the website at least four days before the meeting.

Supporting documents are normally on the website by the Monday preceding the meeting. Any changes of date or time will be noted here and on the noticeboards.

If you have any queries or would like copies of the supporting documents, please phone the clerk, Kate Rixson, on 01371 870711 or email her on clerk@broxted-pc.gov.uk
